The feminist movement, aiming for gender equality, has significantly influenced political, social, and literary spheres. Feminist criticism, as a key literary manifestation of feminism, both examines neglected works by women writers under patriarchal perspectives and explores authors’ approaches to women’s issues. Embracing pluralism, feminist criticism employs diverse analytical approaches. Kurdish women writers, with their distinctive focus on women’s issues, have notably excelled in publishing Southern Kurdish novels, making their works particularly relevant for feminist analysis. This study examines three novels—Hûwz-ê Mlaket by Zahra Omidi (Ilam), Hûrmesgegan Jinek by Fawziyeh Basharat (Bijar), and Miştê Xweşî by Nasrin Babakhani (Kermanshah)—through women-centered criticism and multiple feminist lenses, including representations of women, Marxist feminist criticism, and poststructuralist women’s writing. Findings reveal that the authors challenge patriarchal stereotypes and highlight injustices and discrimination against women, especially those from the working class. Feminist writing features identified by Ellen Cisek—such as fluid narration, incomplete sentences, frequent coordination of clauses, and simple sentence structures—are also prominent in these works.
