This article deals with the comparative study of romantic themes in the poetry of Adonis, a prominent Syrian poet, and Bakhtiar Ali, a Kurdish poet and writer. Adonis, relying on the rich heritage of Arabic literature and a deep philosophical view, describes love as a transcendent and transformative force that can overcome traditional and social boundaries and lead man to freedom and self-redefinition. On the other hand, Bakhtiar Ali, with her complicated and symbolic language, depicts love as a mysterious and sometimes destructive phenomenon that not only has the ability to connect people, but can also lead to the collapse of identities and alienation. This article tries to analyze the depth of romantic concepts and how they are reflected in the poetry of both poets by comparing the poems of these two poets. In this regard, how the concepts of love intersect and conflict in Arabic and Kurdish literature are investigated and it is shown how these two poets, each using their own language and culture, have been able to achieve the common themes of love and identity. The article concludes that both Adonis and Bakhtiar Ali, despite their cultural and linguistic differences, have been able to portray love as a complex and multifaceted concept that not only reflects human feelings, but simultaneously raises deep philosophical and identity challenges also includes.
