Abstract
Bakhtiar Ali portrays love as a complex and sometimes destructive force that, while connecting people, can also lead to identity collapse and self-alienation. In contrast, Adonis presents love as a transcendent and transformative power that transcends social and traditional boundaries, guiding individuals toward freedom and self-redefinition. Using a descriptive-analytical method within the framework of American comparative literature, this study comparatively examines the reflection of romantic concepts in the poetry of these two writers, highlighting their similarities and differences. The findings reveal that despite cultural and linguistic differences, both Bakhtiar Ali and Adonis employ their respective languages and cultural contexts to depict love as a multifaceted and nuanced phenomenon, reflecting not only human emotion but also profound identity and philosophical challenges.
