One type of realism is critical realism, which, as a significant literary movement, delves into a detailed and critical examination of social, economic, and political structures. Relying on realism and social critique, this literary movement endeavors to uncover the hidden layers of society and address existing inadequacies and injustices. Ibrahim Nasrallah, a Jordanian-Palestinian novelist, in his novel “Shorfat al-Aar,” and Ata Nahai, an Iranian Kurdish novelist, in his novel “Gerêvi Bexti Hêlale,” have critically examined the social problems of Arab and Kurdish societies through a realistic approach. This research aims to analyze critical realism in the two novels “Shorfat al-Aar” and “Gerêvi Bexti Hêlale” using a descriptive-analytical method and the American school of comparative literature, focusing on issues such as poverty and inequality, violence against women, gender discrimination, and identity crisis. “The research results indicate that both novels, despite their cultural and historical differences, share many similarities. Both delve into social change. and political issues, employ a realist approach, and aim to raise awareness and instigate societal Additionally, both novels address the role of women in society and gender discrimination, and in both, the protagonist is an innocent girl who falls victim to gender discrimination and honor killings. However, there are also differences between the two novels. 'Shorfat al-Aar' focuses more on social and family issues, while ' Gerêvi Bexti Hêlale ' also addresses political and revolutionary issues.
